Social Workers & Technology Standards

This course is specifically designed for social workers, however, it can be useful by other helping professionals.

The learning objectives are:

1. To understand the NASW standards for technology
2. To learn about revisions of the NASW Code of Ethics related to the use of technology
3. To learn standard practices to protect self and clients when using technology.

The course consists of three lessons.  There is an evaluation and post-test that must be completed.  The quiz must passed at the 80% level in order to receive the certificate.  Three attempts can be made to complete the quiz.

The course is approved for two continued education units by the Kentucky Board of Social Work under sponsor number KBSWSP202228.

Hank Cecil is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky. He is an active member of the KY Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). He received his Master of Art in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Kentucky. He holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics (MHI) from Northern Kentucky University, a Master of Science in Information Systems, and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management from Murray State University.
