LCSW Supervision Renewal

This interactive 3-hour webinar will review the important topics of supervision of Certified Social Workers in clinical practice in Kentucky. The course will focus on the Theoretical Foundations for Clinical Supervision, Practice Modalities, Techniques, and Approaches to Clinical Supervision, KY Rules & Ethics for Clinical Supervision Practice, and Evaluating Clinical Supervision. This course meets the Kentucky Board of Social Work requirement for licensed clinical social workers who seek to continue supervision in KY after being approved to be a clinical supervisor by the Board. LCSWs who want to be supervisors must take the initial 6-hour course to become a supervisor.

After taking this course, social workers will be able to:

  • Describe two supervision best practices.
  • Relate the ethics of informed consent and multiple relationships to supervisory practice.
  • Identify current KY regulations for clinical supervision.
  • Describe the relationship between the contract and evaluation as they pertain to supervision.
  • Identify at least one evaluation process for the supervisory relationship.

Hank Cecil is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky. He is an active member of the KY Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). He received his Master of Art in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Kentucky. He holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics (MHI) from Northern Kentucky University, a Master of Science in Information Systems, and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management from Murray State University.
